We've decided to specialize in handcrafted gavroche caps. We offer several models in different styles. You'll find gavroche caps for both men and women. And, like all our products, we guarantee impeccable quality. They're made from handcrafted wool and leather. What's more, all manufacturing stages take place within a 120-kilometer radius of our Layrolles workshop.
The history of the cap
A rather surprising law was passed in England in 1571 requiring men to wear headgear on Sundays, with the exception of children and aristocrats. From this date onwards, the cap became a symbol of social class. The cap came back into fashion in the 1800s, as many work uniforms featured a cap. Today, the cap is worn by all generations and all social classes.
